BOOK-SIGNING AT POTTSVILLE LIBRARY JUNE 13, 2013

Ozzie Tollefson was at the Pottsville Free Public Library on Tuesday night, June 25, 2013 to sell and sign copies of his new novel, Mr. Teacher. A small, but enthusiastic group of people had a chance to meet and visit with Ozzie. On Sunday, June 30, Ozzie will leave for his hometown of Fosston, Minnesota, where two more book-signing events have been scheduled. One of them will be in the old one-room schoolhouse Ozzie attended from grades one to eight back in the 1940s.

Sales of Mr. Teacher have gone well, considering there has been very little publicity beyond word-of-mouth, Facebook posting, and email contacts. Here is a link to a fine article which appeared on June 19th in the local Hegins newspaper, The Citizen Standard. http://citizenstandard.com/news/local-man-pens-novel-1.1507266

Ozzie gives seminary at the University of La Verne, California

On November 10, 2011, Ozzie was invited to the University of La Verne, California, to give a seminar on his 48 years in educational theater.  It was a big thrill for Ozzie to speak to the theater majors, many of whom are students of Ozzie's son, Alan Tollefson.

Hazel and Holly Jones perform at Heritage Days, August 27, 2011.

Ozzie was back in his hometown of Fosston, Minnesota, in August of 2011, for the Heritage Days celebration on the East Polk Heritage Center grounds.  Hazel and Holly Jones provided stellar entertainment, which Ozzie videotaped and edited into a limited edition DVD.

The DVD video of "Waiting For George Jones" was released on Monday, April 11, 2011.  A pot-luck dinner and screening of Ozzie's 71-minute DVD was held on Sunday evening, April 10th at the Friedens Lutheran Church in Hegins.  To date over 200 copies of the DVD have been sold.   You can purchase your copy at Kiefer's Mill in Hegins.  Call 570-682-3672 for information.  Sale price is $15.00.  All proceeds will go to Friedens Lutheran Church building fund and for the repair of the church steeple.  In December of 2011, the work on the steeple was completed, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, who worked hard to raise the money.

All the shenanigans in the Hegins Old-Folks Home takes a turn for the worse when The Chief, played by David A. Lucas, charges on stage and wants to know if George Jones is actually going to  show up.

La Rue and Bob Machamer have been in several of Ozzie's productions over the years.  Both are retired elementary school teachers, who enjoy performing.  In this scene La Rue is asking Bob to guess what she has in her hand.  We can't give away the punch-line.  Buy the DVD of "Waiting for George Jones" to find out.
